OMAC was founded by Jyles Yates, (nickname: Bo thkneesarestillgood (‘Bo’ for short)). He was happily enjoying an icy cold Vermont winter day when two illnesses, Crisis-Midlifis and Feverus-Cabinus, struck. The ailments left him wondering: ‘WTF there’s got to be something to do!’
Wandering around the house eating nachos and cookies did nothing to cure his
illnesses. Afraid of having nothing to do Jyles sprang into action. He remembered something he read in one of Kurt Vonnegut’s books…
…. Something about getting a gang…. No man is an island…. A spouse isn’t enough, we all need friends…. (Jyles couldn’t remember the exact book, or what was written. The above is a very simplified version.)
A plan formed in his brain to invite the world’s funnest older men together to form a powerful super club.
Recognizing the awesomeness of the club’s potential Jyles quickly realized the club would attract too many applicants. An application form with the most important questions was created to weed out the unworthy and e-robots.

Old Man Adventure Club was born!!
Born of fire and ice. The fires that kept the house warm, and the boredom of -21 degrees and ice crusted snow.
The goal of Old Man Adventure Club is to:
● Enhance the enjoyment of the members and the lives of those who have to deal with older men.
● Host occasional events and meetups. (examples: Canoe trips, ping-pong tournaments, and belching competitions)
● Have classes on being old and a man. (examples: Reading glasses 101, and Pronouns 101)
● Encourage and nurture the creation and telling of Dad jokes. (example: How do you win Father’s day? You can’t, you always end up with a tie.)
● Create a network and community of older men who can help support other older men as they get older. (example: Make fun of the guy who is next in line for a colonoscopy)
